Hispanic Heritage of Aransas County

The exhibit will illustrate early Spanish history, a timeline of 500 years in the region, the story of early ranching, settlement by the Canary Islanders and their descendants, military recognition including development of the G.I. Forum and the stories of many local families.

Beginning Sunday, January 26 at 2:00PM the following programs will be presented:

Jan. 26th – Ranching / Land Granting

Feb. 9th- Canary Islander Association

Feb. 23rd- Local Family

Mar. 8th- Hispanics Contribution to Military

Mar. 22nd- Local Family

Apr. 5th- Hispanic Cultural Arts (On Hold)

Apr. 19th- Local Family ( On Hold)

The History Center for Aransas County showcases local heritage.  Outdoor and indoor exhibits tell the stories of the real people of Aransas County. The Center provides space for displays, workshops, meetings and gatherings.
